Refund Policy

Overview

dupes.gg is a marketplace for digital goods (.dupe files for S&Box). Due to the inherent nature of digital products (which can be downloaded and used immediately upon purchase), all sales on dupes.gg are generally considered final. However, we understand that certain circumstances may warrant a refund, and we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis as described below.

Refund Eligibility

A refund may be considered in the following circumstances:

• Corrupted or non-functional files: If the purchased dupe file is corrupted, broken, or completely non-functional and cannot be used as intended in S&Box. Minor issues or compatibility quirks do not qualify.
• Significantly misrepresented content: If the listing description, screenshots, or other provided information significantly and materially misrepresents the actual content of the dupe file. The discrepancy must be substantial enough that the buyer would not have reasonably made the purchase with accurate information.
• Duplicate or unauthorized charge: If you were charged more than once for the same purchase, or if a purchase was made without your authorization.

Time Limit

Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of the original purchase. Requests submitted after the 24-hour window will generally not be considered, except in cases of unauthorized charges, which may be reported within 30 days.

Listing Fees

The $1.00 listing fee paid by sellers to publish a dupe on the marketplace is non-refundable under all circumstances. The listing fee covers the cost of content review, storage, and marketplace placement. This applies even if the listing is later removed by the seller, removed due to a policy violation, or removed as a result of a DMCA takedown notice.

Non-Eligible Refund Situations

Refunds will not be granted in the following situations:

• You simply changed your mind after purchase or no longer want the dupe file.
• The dupe file works as described but does not meet your subjective expectations regarding quality or aesthetics.
• You are unable to use the dupe file due to your own system configuration, an outdated version of S&Box, or other issues unrelated to the file itself.
• You have already downloaded and used the dupe file in-game.
• The listing has been removed from the marketplace after your purchase (you retain access to your downloaded files).
• You were banned or terminated from dupes.gg for violating our Terms of Service.

Refund Process

To request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Send an email to support@dupes.gg with the subject line "Refund Request."
2. Include your Steam display name, the name and URL of the purchased dupe, the date of purchase, and a detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund.
3. If applicable, include screenshots or other evidence supporting your claim (e.g., screenshots of corruption or errors, comparison with listing description).
4. Our team will review your request and respond within 3 business days with a determination.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed through Stripe and credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refund processing typically takes 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

Impact on Sellers

When a refund is issued for a purchase, the corresponding seller earnings for that transaction will be deducted from the seller's account. Sellers who receive an excessive number of refund requests may have their listings reviewed and potentially removed from the marketplace.

Discretion

All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of dupes.gg. We reserve the right to deny any refund request that we determine does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy, or where we have reason to believe the request is fraudulent or made in bad faith. Our determination is final.
